Ferries to Arran
You can sail to Arran with Caledonian MacBrayne into the port of Brodick from Ardrossan or to Lochranza. Ardrossan is only a short drive from both Glasgow International and Prestwick Airports.

By car
For the main ferry route from Ardrossan Harbour it is recommendable to reserve a place for your car, especially during the high season and on major holidays. This can be done at www.calmac.co.uk , the ferry operator’s website.

Foot passengers
Foot passengers can purchase their tickets at the pier terminal building without pre-booking.

Coming by air
Regular train services are available from both airports. From Glasgow International Airport there is a shuttle bus to Paisley Gilmour Street train station.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport has its own rail station with services via Kilwinning to Ardrossan Harbour.

Alternatively there are taxis available at the airports or you can pre-book which often results in cheaper fares, e.g.:

Public transport
By train
The UK has an excellent railway network including both an east coast and west coast main line rail service running from London to Edinburgh and Glasgow. There is a direct train service from Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour. For more info contact scotrail.co.uk
